[Vol. 14.01] - Healthcare Informatics

Published annually in June. This volume contains 17 standards. Volume 14.01 covers specifications and guides that address the transfer, management, security, and privacy of health information and the content of electronic health records. Other standards relate to eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Document Type Definitions (DTD).

[Vol. 14.02] - General Test Methods; Forensic Psychophysiology; Forensic Sciences; Terminology; Conformity Assessment; Statistical Methods; Nanotechnology

Published annually in July. This volume contains 112 standards. Volume 14.02 features: Conformity Assessment--covers criteria for use in the evaluation of testing laboratories and proficiency testing by interlaboratory comparisons. Forensic Sciences--provides test methods, practices, and guides for forensic investigations that cover criminalistics, engineering, questioned documents, interdisciplinary issues and terminology. Forensic Psychophysiology--examines guides and practices relating to polygraph training and education, and recommended factors in the design, conduct, and reporting of research on psychophysiological detection of deception (polygraph). Hazard Potential of Chemicals--details properties of flash point, thermal stability and instability, and autoignition temperatures. Particle and Spray Characterization--provides practices and specifications pertain to plates, sieving and non-sieving methods, and screening media. Quality and Statistics--features practices, test methods, and guides evaluate statistical methods, sampling and data analysis, and quality statements. Thermal Measurements--includes practices and test methods on thermal analysis and thermophysical properties.

[Vol. 14.03] - Temperature Measurement

Published annually in July. This volume contains 54 standards. Around 700 pages of the very latest temperature measurement standards, covering liquid-in-glass, thermometers and hydrometers, thermocouples, medical thermometers, and other related topics.

[Vol. 14.04] - Laboratory Apparatus; Degradation of Materials; SI; Oxygen Fire Safety

Published annually in July. This volume contains 135 standards. This volume includes the unified American National Standard IEEE/ASTM SI-10 Standard for the Use of the International System of Units (SI): The Modern Metric System. Volume 14.04 also provides standards that evaluate outdoor and laboratory accelerated weathering tests, such as joint weathering projects, natural and environmental exposure tests and service life prediction. In addition to standards for laboratory apparatus, this volume covers oxygen fire safety, including methods for controlling hazards and risks in oxygen systems.

[Vol. 14.05] - Statistical Methods; Hazard Potential of Chemicals; Thermal Measurements; Manufacture of Pharmaceutical Products

Published annually in July. This volume contains 142 standards. This volume covers: Hazard Potential of Chemicals—covers flash point, thermal stability and instability, explosibility, and autoignition temperatures of chemicals Quality and Statistics—practices and guides evaluate statistical methods, sampling and data analysis, and quality statements. Thermal Measurements—practices and test methods cover thermal analysis and thermophysical properties. Manufacture of Pharmaceutical Products—covers the application of process analytical technology (PAT) within the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry, highlighting PAT system management, implementation, and practices. New to this edition are standards on hazardous biological materials, characterization and identification of biological systems, and unit processes and validation. Important changes that may impact your purchase decision: Standards from Committees E11, E27, E37, and E55 have moved from Volume 14.02 to new Volume 14.05 Statistical Methods; Hazard Potential of Chemicals; Thermal Measurements; Manufacture of Pharmaceutical Products.
